Claire House Children’s Hospice is delighted to be the Women’s Running Sefton Park 5K and 10K race official charity partner for 2017.
Claire House relies on the fundraising of runners in the community to help provide care and support to seriously and terminally ill children and their families.
Claire House helps parents create wonderful experiences for their children and bring back a sense of normality to family life. This means helping a child go for their first swim or going on a trip to the local cinema.
It means a seriously ill young person using a wheelchair can meet friends going through the same things as them, or that a mum and dad can get a good night’s sleep and recharge their batteries after the constant pressure of being a carer.
It means that if there is an emergency we are the first people to call – day or night, as we are on-hand with specialist care and advice.
And if the worst happens and a child comes to the end of their life, they can spend their last days with all their home comforts at Claire House or be cared for at home with the support of our nurses.
Claire House currently provides care for over 200 babies, children and young people and supports more than 200 bereaved families in and around Liverpool.
By running for Claire House Children’s Hospice in the Women’s Running 5k/10k race you will be helping to raise much needed funds, which will mean we can continue to support even more families going through the toughest of times.
Join us for the Women’s Running Race Series in Liverpool’s Sefton Park and help raise money for Claire House.
