British outdoor brand, Karrimor, has launched Karrimor Elite, its first ever mobile app.

The new free app, available for Android and iPhones, enables runners and walkers to plan, map and record their routes and performance; rate and review new and existing routes; set themselves targets, and invite friends to join them on training sessions.

Download your FREE app here

The app also has the following useful features:

  • Listen to music en-route via an internal music player
  • Take and record photos and link them to particular routes
  • Compile performance stats and share/compare with friends
  • Lists of routes in your immediate vicinity
  • Opportunity to set personal challenges in calories consumed, distance travelled or time taken
  • Built in weather forecast
  • Or simply get running asap with the ‘quick start’ function
  • Map view function to keep track of your current status on the run
