How do you fit in a race when the kids are on school holidays?

Simple  – you take them to a running festival, and they won’t miss you for a minute! DJ Chris Evans and Virgin Radio have announced a brand new running festival called RunFestRun, to be held this year on 31 May – 2 June at Bowood House.

With a fab line up of bands and DJs – all to be announced shortly – this three-day camping festival will include running routes from a 2.5k fun run through to a timed half marathon. Alongside all the running, there will be a food village offering nutritious and delicious feasts for you and your family, fitness and wellness classes if you suddenly tire of running and tons of activities for the kids.

Plus, you can do a little celeb spotting while you’re there: Paula Radcliffe and Steve Cram are both signed up and will be giving inspirational talks while there. Paula says, “With stunning running routes through the bluebell woods and forest of rhododendrons in the grounds and what I believe is going to be a great music line-up, RunFestRun really will be an unmissable festival for music fans and runners alike.”

Families can camp in their own tents, but for those of you who want to concentrate on negative splits rather than bent tent pegs, we’ve been assured that there’s a glamping option in the offing!

The full list of speakers is available here.
