MIO Future Proof Firming Active Body Butter

£30 for 240g, mioskincare.co.uk
Tester: Susan

Mio Future Proof Firming Active Body ButterThis is truly a wonderful body butter that really makes you feel as if you’re looking after your skin. A vegan and ethically trusted product, it has no parabens, petrolatum, colourants, xenoestrogens, PEGs, glycols or phthalates. It’s made from a blend of Organic Sweet Almond Oil, Olive Fruit Oil and Organ Kernel Oil – only good active ingredients are allowed in here – which smell amazing. You will find this effective at both tackling and eliminating any patches of dry skin after your long runs. It is quite heavy and thick in texture, but it glides on effortlessly. For optimum results, it’s recommended you use on damp skin, after a shower or bath, to let the softening, glowing effect last a full 24 hours. Suitable for all skin types, even sensitive ones, you could use it on your whole family – but you might just want to keep this treat for yourself!

Institut Esthederm Excellage Cream

£71, lookfantastic.com

Institut Esthederm Intensive Hyaluronic Eye Serum

£33, feelunique.com
Tester: Tina

At this price, this combo is an investment purchase. But we think it’s a worthy one, especially if you run more than a couple of times a week. When your skin is feeling dry and dehydrated you know you need deep moisturisation. Use this moisturiser and eye cream to ensure your skin is intensively repaired. The eye cream has a hydro-plumping serum texture to refresh your eyes after a hard workout, and your eyes will feel uplifted and dark shadows reduced. It’s instantly refreshing as you dab it around your eyes. The Excellage cream claims to protect your skin from environmental aging and leaves you feeling radiant. Skin feels smooth, firm and velvety once it’s been applied. It’s very light and sweeps gently over face and neck, leaving a supple, nourished feeling.

Nouveau Lashes Rejuvenating Eye Cream & Mask

Nouveau Lashes Rejuvenating Eye Cream & Mask£19.99, nouveaulashes.com
Tester: Sue

A great new product to give your eye area some well-deserved pampering. Hypo-allergenic and vegan, this is suitable to be used by everyone. It feels very rich as you apply it and includes a complex blend of multivitamins and shea butter. Suitable to use every day on your brows, lashes and eyes, it’s an easy add on to your established skin care regime. You can also use this as a mask to really nourish the eye area, especially vital if you are a fan of lash treatments or are an avid make-up wearer. It is un-perfumed and is absorbed quickly into your skin. After continued use, you should find you benefit from a reduction in dark circles and that puffiness reduced too. An innovative new product, that is the perfect solution when you need to give your eyes and brows some TLC.

Weleda Weather Protection Cream

Weleda Weather Protection Cream£9.95, weleda.co.uk
Tester: Claire

The Weleda Weather Protection Cream feels fantastically smooth when applied, leaving your face feeling silky soft without any oily residue. A little certainly goes a long way, making it a well worth-while purchase. It can be used as an everyday moisturiser and contains natural ingredients which makes it especially good for dry and sensitive skin. This cream works and proves itself brilliantly, while also being a protective barrier against harsh and cold weather conditions on those winter runs. It also really hydrates the skin leaving your face, chin and neck feeling nourished – perfect for your year-round, post-run skin care regime. It’s a bone that it smells gorgeous too!

Sport FX Cool Down Primer + Recovery Gel

£9.99, sportfx.com
Tester: Esther

Sport FX Cool Down Primer + Recovery GelThis fab primer is packed with all the goodies you’d want: vitamins C, E & F to protect and repair the skin, panthenol for anti-inflammation, aloe vera to moisturise and soften, and a cooling agent to counteract inflammation and redness. And none of the ones you don’t: it’s paragon free, vegan friendly and contains no mineral oils. What this all adds up to is an instantly cooling primer, with a delicious (possibly divisive) coconut scent, that provides a good base for foundation and concealer. Or both, if that’s your bag. So cooling, in fact, that it pleasantly tingles a little on the skin. It sinks in quickly – you can slap it on, and chuck your foundation over it instantly – and it really does help keep your face on all day. While this tester isn’t one for putting on slap before a workout, it certainly means that your face isn’t halfway down your neck after a post-work run. Impressive!
