The Run Mummy Run community which brings female runners together and consists of over 61,000 members, has pledged to raise an incredible £20,000 to help fund the charity’s life-saving research.
Race for Life isn’t about being the fastest person on the course. It’s about crossing the finishing line anyway you want. Race for Life is a series of events held across the UK where people of all ages and abilities come together for one purpose, to beat cancer. The money raised from these important events helps aid vital research into all 200 types of cancer.
Leanne Davies, Founder and Creator of Run Mummy Run said, “I am thrilled to announce that Run Mummy Run will be collaborating with Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life for a fourth year running. This is a partnership close to my heart and one which consistently receives huge support from our members.”
The Run Mummy Run community will not only be raising funds by running in these events, but it has also released a fantastic new ‘Race for Life Inspired’ running kit with a donation being made to Cancer Research with every sale.
Michael Beeson, Senior Sponsorship and Marketing Manager at Cancer Research UK added, “Our events are very much about taking part and joining together in our fight to beat cancer, regardless of age and ability. We are grateful for all the support from Run Mummy Run which is invaluable in our mission to carry out research into all types of cancer.”
