New Balance opens pub that rewards runners with pints!

The Runaway pub, where runners can swap their hard earned miles for pints.

New Balance has launched its first ever pub ‘The Runaway’, where the currency used is miles run.

New Balance has joined forces with Strava so you can easily log your miles to receive your reward! There are four challenges to complete, specifically focused around key marathon training milestones.

When users join the Strava challenge, they will receive a Runaway Card to log their hard earned miles. Once you have enough racked up you can exchange them at the pub for a cold one.

Eager runners can find The Runaway pub located on Charing Cross Road, London.

But this isn’t just a place to relax with a free pint, it’s also a fantastic social hub that supports marathon runners through their training and is part of New Balance Everybody’s Race campaign.

Samantha Matthews, Senior Marketing Manager at New Balance UK & Ireland said; “We’re excited to open our very first New Balance pub and look forward to welcoming runners to the bar to exchange their miles for pints. The Runaway pub brings our Everybody’s Race campaign to life and aims to empower runners throughout their weeks of training, offering an escape and reward when needed and a hub for the running community to come together and support each other.”
